This is an excellent opportunity for a PROGRAMME DELIVERY MANAGER to lead the delivery of a portfolio of strategic product and business capability initiatives for one of South Africa’s largest financial services groups.
Based in JOHANNESBURG or CAPE TOWN (Hybrid), this is a 12-MONTH FIXED-TERM CONTRACT with the possibility of extension.

The role sits within a specialist insurance business delivering a joint insurance offering with one of South Africa’s leading consumer brands. Operating across a complex ecosystem of business units and delivery partners, the organisation is responsible for bringing new insurance products and capabilities to market through an ambitious portfolio of strategic initiatives.
THE ROLE:
You’ll lead the delivery of a portfolio of strategic product and business capability initiatives within a complex, partner-led ecosystem.
Working across multiple organisations and functional areas, you’ll lead concurrent initiatives spanning product, technology, operations, legal, compliance and customer servicing.
The portfolio spans multiple organisations, shared ownership and concurrent delivery streams, creating a complex programme environment with enterprise-wide impact.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years’ experience delivering complex business and technology programmes or projects
- Proven experience delivering New Product Development (NPD) or product implementation programmes
- Strong Programme Management or complex Project Delivery experience
- Strong Business Analysis capability
- Experience translating business strategy into delivery roadmaps
- Technology delivery and systems integration experience
- Experience delivering across complex multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong governance, RAID management and executive reporting experience
- Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Insurance or Financial Services experience highly advantageous.
