They use a variety of software solutions as well as internally developed systems and integrations across their operation; including, marketing, student recruitment, finance, administration, human resources, academics and teaching and learning. They are currently involved in a major revamp and upgrade of all technology and digital systems – and this PROJECT MANAGEMENT role will be instrumental in driving this transformation.
THE ROLE:
As an IT PROJECT MANAGER you will join the Technology Services leadership team in this respected, fast-evolving higher-education institution.
This is a rare opportunity to own and deliver a strategic portfolio of technology initiatives that enable digital transformation, improve services, and support long-term institutional growth.
You’ll sit at the centre of strategy, delivery, governance and stakeholder leadership – driving complex infrastructure and systems projects from concept to completion.
As IT Project Manager, you will:
Own the full project lifecycle – initiation, planning, delivery, governance and closure.
Lead enterprise IT projects (R2m+ budgets) across infrastructure and systems.
Build and manage high-performing cross-functional teams and vendors.
Drive governance, risk management, change control and stakeholder engagement.
Deliver projects that enable institutional strategy and measurable business value.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
5+ years’ IT Project Management experience in large / complex environments.
Proven delivery of enterprise ICT projects (hardware and systems) with R2m+ budgets.
Aspirations for leadership experience managing teams and third-party partners.
Excellent stakeholder, governance and communication skills.
Degree in IT / Business (or equivalent) plus Project Management certification (PMP / Prince2 / Agile preferred)
Good knowledge of PMBOK, Agile (SAFe) and SDLC.
