This is a Johannesburg-based 12-month independent contract role with an hourly rate of up to R550 per hour

THE ROLE
As a Senior Infrastructure Analyst, you will lead the operational stability, monitoring, and performance of the core investment platform infrastructure, ensuring resilience across databases, batch systems, and virtual environments.
You will act as the incident lead during major disruptions, coordinate across vendors & internal teams, and provide strategic input on capacity, risk, and operational improvement. You will also mentor junior analysts and drive governance aligned with COBIT practices.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years IT infrastructure experience
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Citrix/VDI, Control-M, and monitoring tools like AppDynamics or Dynatrace
Strong incident management and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with COBIT, ITIL, and security practices
Investment/financial services platform infrastructure experience is essential
