Senior QA Engineer role is Remote (Cape Town) and paying R840K – R960K PA.

Their platform supports millions of users and thousands of merchants, processing high volumes of real-time financial transactions across online and in-store checkout environments.
THE ROLE:
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will own the quality and automation strategy across mobile and web applications that operate at scale and support high volumes of real-time transactions. The focus is on building confidence into systems where reliability, performance, and determinism directly affect customer trust and commercial outcomes.
You’ll work closely with engineering and product teams in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment, shaping how quality is embedded across the delivery lifecycle and making quality a shared responsibility across teams. This includes influencing automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and test data strategies to ensure platforms behave predictably under load and change.
The role offers meaningful autonomy and technical influence, with the opportunity to define quality practices and automation approaches that scale across multiple customer-facing platforms and evolve as the product ecosystem grows.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance, with hands-on ownership of quality in production environments
Strong experience improving test coverage and automation across web and mobile applications
Solid JavaScript / TypeScript skills
Experience running automated tests on device and browser platforms such as BrowserStack (or similar)
Hands-on experience designing and managing test data strategies (fixtures, seeded environments, or synthetic data)
Exposure to mobile testing tools or device farms (e.g. BrowserStack, Bitrise, Firebase Test Lab)
A working understanding of performance signals (e.g. response times, stability under load, trends over time)
